If you compare them to the Dark Elves, you can see where there are different and where they are similar

Rangers and skilled archers are Wood Elves' thing

I also try to keep my races as unique and distinct as possible from other ones you usually see in Warcraft 3 customs
 
@Lord_Marrowgrath and Warlords, and Might and Magic, and Spellforce... A little bit of this and a little bit of that :D
I drew a lot of inspiration from a lot of different projects; Not only lore-wise, but gameplay-wise as well

For example, you can't build structures just anywhere on the map - You can only build near your Bases, which must be captured and held first. And each base has a Building Limit of structures which can be constructed nearby them
So you have to wisely choose where and what you want to build

In addition to that, there are 6 new resources which replace vanilla Gold and Lumber - Food and Gold, Metal and Crystals, Wood and Stone
High Elves are a mystical race who rely heavily on mana Crystals, so they need to focus on controlling the parts of the map which have Crystal Deposits

There is also a lot of information about new unit Classifications and Mechanics, but that's just too much to write :D
