Looking good! One possible thing to add is that for Ujimasa Hojo's updated altar model he actually used flowing water for the base of the altar. Might add some nice detail.
Altar of Kings and Derivarives Edited by Ujimasa Hojo Altar of Kings (Optimized) Info: Fixed the texture wrapping a lot. Animated the waters. Uploaded. Altar of Elders (Elf) Info: Created an Elven version of the Altar of Kings. Uploaded. Fixed some of the texture wrapping...
General look is very good, but I'm not sure about Antonidas being there. Kirin Tor probably does not really "revere" anything, but knowledge, intelligence and insight. Maybe just put their floating emblem instead? The eye thing.
In Exodus, this is called The Great Eye and it's an expression of Kirin Tor philosophy: Insight is the key. Notice and acknowledge everything, connect the dots and uncover all the secets of the universe. I think it makes sense for the Eye to be depicted on their Altar.
It may be Altar of Insight or as in Exodus... Altar of Reason :].

i do have the emblem geoset maybe for another derivative or variant. I guess the primary consideration for this one is how it can work in melee maps and for it to be consistent with the usual altars.

To be fair, humans don't revere their kings either, but there is the Altar of Kings.
Undeads' religion is based on Ner'zhul, but their altar depicts an abstract figure of Death (I suppose).
Etc, etc.

i guess the altar for the wc3 is a confusing choice of name made by blizzard. the building unit should have been called monument instead since altar is a term we usually relates to religion.
