  • Ok, np i have to do some important stuff today, ill try to get msn when im not so busy.
I do wish I could logon to AIM, but idk wtf is happening... keeps telling me my login info is incorrect
Lame, i was wondering why you werent logging on :p.
What better way to improve your modeling skills than making some buildings and simpler models if you know what i mean ;P
still having some trouble with alpha channels... well, i think I won't bother animating it, I need to focus on improving my modeling skills... the shape of my models is still weird =p
btw, AIm stopped accepting my logon info for some reason...
man, I'm like a magnet for weird problems and bugs o.o
    Troops:
recruiting probably based on mercenary camps. But it may be converted to training units if there could be AI problems, but somehow limit they training. They could wander around like in homm4, but can't capture mines or towns. But under a hero they would get more benefits (using various auras etc). However one possibility would be to give them to an allied computer player so they just follow the hero. About the stack I didn't though, that would be hard to do, still I prefer age of wonders style to be based on (that game is easier to convert to RTS).

    Resources:
Gathering resources would pretty straightforward, resouces gained regarding how many mines do you own, which are capturable like a town (that flag). I was thinking to add also food as one one of resources, so units won't have that food cost as population. This would require some triggering.

Just this is how I thought to do, maybe I can write more later.
Crap, seems that I don't have that map anymore. And I wanted to check some features in my other upcoming map :(

Anyway, it was very little made on it.

    The town:
Your request is actually inappropriate, since the castle would be just one structure, but first of all situated in the a larger (not huge though) area, where it's surrounded by walls. Inside there are the main building, some unbuilt hidden buildings, walls, towers... Building structures in your town actually consists of unhiding structures, when a training of a dummy unit is completed. The walls are actually more complex, still deciding if it's better to use destructibles or units, however, only siege weapons (and maybe some specialized units) can attack them. To conquer the castle, a hero must destroy some special thing (ex. a flag), which is invulnerable while any defenders of the castle are near (that flag is attackable only by a hero).
Do not double post. Doing so is against the site rules.
I recommend reading them as failure to obey them may result in you getting banned.
