Space Marines Mission 1

Hello, it is the beginning of a series of longer cards thereof that I've almost finished. These are the first cards I posting (be gentle ^^). The idea is: marine spaces visiting ships, planets and destroy the alien villains. No more complicated :). But When they discover a new enemy (in the two mission), they will have to flee for the first time. For now, there are no new skills, but jen have to create in the future. Hoping that you like it. The difficulty is not really present here. It will be harder in the other levels, of course. I have already created 26 cards, and about thirty units, and a score of competence. I am French and so sorry for bad English. Sorry so if I have not followed all the rules in the presentation of the card; I did not understand everything. In the past, I had written a thing. I'll post the following, perhaps it's useful:

Please improve your description by adding screenshots and features list. And put that large wall of text in hidden tags called story. This is how you do it. Add [/hidden] after "I finished my work !!" And
before -welcome

Also use other bb code like [color] and [size] to make your description look better. Also it might be a good idea to add titles to your description like Story,Map info,Features etc.

Oh, no, I do not think it is. It's just that it's more cards. But I do not know how do you put multiple cards into one page so there is only one card for now. How to Put the other cards on the same page without having to "spam" by posting the other cards?

Yes, sorry, I'm really not good! I already knew to use the campaign editor, but I had not thought to do like that. Thank you again for your advice! :)The thing is that I wanted to know first if the first card I made were good, and that if I did not like at all, I was not going to put others in line for nothing, that's my reasoning. The other problem is that there is more than 20 cards, and the stats of some units sometimes change. Twenty cards is a lot, and if people get bored after 5, so I should fully review the other and the countryside. Otherwise, it does not matter. I will do my best. Thank you and goodbye.

Oh my God!!! What a massive block of words for the story!! Dude, if you leave it like that, I bet that a lot of people will refuse to read it completely. It is unattractive to the eye and it really discourages the reader to go on reading. I highly recommend to summarise the story or at least put it in a more attractive way. Then, add some screenshots of the map because people really like to know what they're going to download.

I take note of all the good advice. I will add colors, numbers, I'll delete the history to make a smaller one. For cons, I do not know how to add screenshots or images. I will also change the map, this is the real first level. Anyway, thank you for worrying about a beginner like me :)! I totally understand why the card was not approved! But it makes me happy to see you leave feedback when you have many other things to do !!


I work actually on the campaign (bug fixes or fautless, translation, assemblies, increased difficulty for most of thé levels, music, importe files....) And I would just like to know what You dislike in the level, apart from the description And the fact it looks like a work in progress map when he is alone. I wait your responses and I stop unnecessarily botter . ;)

I found the map dull and boring honestly.
I tried it and i got bored quickly with it as nothing i found very unique to it. Nothing special to the terrain, units, or anything really also felt like not too many items really dropped(didn't get very far though)
I suggest doing this:
  • Make units look cooler with custom models and such/skins maybe?
  • Work on terrain so people don't get bored at scenery
  • Make hero more fun to play, I mean.. Shockwave and Evasion? Not very fun to use
Nothing else I can really think of

Tydieguy thank you, I appreciate your comment! True, he said the shortcomings of the card, but you indicate precisely what you do not like and give me advice.

I just downloaded this card, and I discovered how much I'm a noob! In fact, I posted the old version of the card !! I will change at the same time that the description.

In the new version, the hero has a lot more, the Marines an ability that can be activated, more elaborate decorations. But they are not spectacular, I have not decorated model and I have found very little on different sites.

Then there is a map that introduces other cards, so it is basic, it's true. I can understand that you find it boring, it is long and quite repetitive. I also liked that you say what you think directly: : )

I am finalizing the campaign. And I'm not very good sets, unfortunately, and that's what gives all the "soul" to the card. To the latest maps, they have lots of new units with new models and capabilities. And there are three heroes to control simultaneously with everyones 5 spells and so object even I can not use anything.

To go back to all that, I know that my cards are not sublime or great fun, so I do not know if I would put them. For now, I would just like to finish them. Thank you for everything. Oh, a 2/5, thank you !! That's not bad for a start! :) The card is not so bad as that, I'm happy! : D And I'm also glad you took the time to finish the map, once again, thank you for your consideration !!

Oh, and sorry for the English mistakes, my translations are lame;)

Tested it, their wasn't much of a story happening, its just kill and kill nothing more. My men are way stronger than my hero, while the enemy placed on the map is way stronger than the whole group of my forces.

Going to the map is more like accepting suicide, their wasn't any breather on the whole maze, so I end up moving always until to the last man. The maze on the other hand looks very monotone in total.

In short, I would to suggest if you can make a decent story ongoing on the map, items to pick up, units with acceptable abilities, and the hero to atleast have no level up abilities, instead give him a already placed set of skills to use, their is nothing to level up on this map.

Maze should be given a nice background level and proper design for the whole map, this won't decrease the monotone look and overall in exchange give a nice atmosphere. The total map however is not quite fine for an approval right now. Sorry to disappoint it would be of great though this map can be serve as a practice.
