Story
Background Story
Twelve peaceful years have passed since The Great War ended. The war that lasted centuries but no man could recall the reason of. The age of despair, bloodshed, loss and grief is now past. The new age brought the opportunity for human kingdoms to rise, as humanity has broken free from the grip of the dragons.

This story focuses on Kingdom of Balgaron and three famous Dragon Slayers: Phodom, Fradz and Galeoth. Each of them starts their journey in different places, but they will eventually meet eachother and join forces along the path. Together, the three are forced to go a conflict beyond their imaginations.

Lead them into an epic world, guided by a strong storyline that covers hate, love, war and peace.

The honored Dragon Slayer Phodom gave up his life as a warrior and began a new life with his wife and his children, far away from the capital of Balgaron in the small town called Dalli. All his plans were going smooth and easy until someone steps into his life and changes everything...Fradz is a young energetic Dragon Slayer known for his short temper and bad manners. This silly thief is a very powerful warrior and it is said that he even killed powerful dragons single-handedly. After the war, Fradz went on many journeys, but one day a mysterious voice told him to travel to the famous Dragon Inn to meet someone who was once very close to him. Fradz accepts this new journey, as he knows that he cannot decline it...Galeoth, the son of a legendary Dragon Slayer lived up to his father's name and became one of the leaders of Balgaron. After the war, Galeoth still believed that the war was not yet over. His obsession to find dragons led him towards the Icy Mountains where he is about to uncover a horrible secret that will change the fate of mankind...

All abilities remade and new abilities: Battle Banner, Fiery Ball, Fire Power, Ultimate Sacrifice, Counter Attack, Energy Shield, High Strike, Crystal Plane, Galeoth's Order, Illusion Army, Magic Convert and Magical Fog.
'Critical Chance' attribute added! It starts from 5% and it can be increased various ways.
Now also Strenght increases Critical Damage just like Agility.
Chapter 5 Pumpking Quest's second cinematic updated.

Vacuum's area of effect reduced. You cannot grab items from far away anymore.

Every single Spell Book spell has been added to the campaign!
Many new items and item changes. For example, superior items, which costs a huge amount of gold, are added to middle chapters; however, they're worth it!
Improved the multiboard a lot. Now it is more informative and better organized.
Combat kings once again rebalanced and changed. The major thing is that now they all cost 2 Honor Points.
Espers improved and made even stronger. Please come and tell me what you think about the Espers now. I've seen that players don't use them and I really want to make them useful.
Many changes to the starting packs! Now they should be balanced, every single one of them!
Stealing improved; now it shows the percentages.
Easter Eggs added; currently just 2 but there will be a total of 12 Easter Eggs. Check them all out!

Chapter 7 is now opened.
Boss points are now removed from the game. You can still change your Boss points to Honor points by writing this code: "-change".
Remade all item, ability, spell, esper and all other descriptions: they are now shorter and easier to read.
There is only fire, ice, and lightning spells now.
Improved multiboard by a lot, added some new stats to it also.
Added new combat kings and new spells. Combat Kings now only go up to level 5.
Added some more tactical meaning to the battle: some abilities can do or use buffs called Brittle, Stagger, and Bleed. For example some other abilities can use these buffs to deal increased damage.
Now Special abilities will increase by every level instead of every fifth level.
All professionals are now universal.
The Critical Damage bonus starts from 100% instead of 0%. The chance to do a Critical Hit is still 10%.
Once again, more items.
New Spell System: Instead of spell books you can easily use spells from left corner just like potions.
The file size is now bigger because I imported some resources to the campaign. The expected file size in the end will be about 120mb to 140mb. I hope the file size won't be a problem.
New balanced attack and armor types: Sharp, Blunt, Magic, Light, Medium, Heavy, Sturdy and Elemental.
Now some enemies are categorized as Summoned, Undead, Drgon and Monster. Some items and abilities can do extra effects to them.
Now enemies won't do their abilities while stunned.
The campaign is now optimized and protected. All thanks to Shadow Daemon for creating the awesome "campaign optimizator" program".
Fixed some bugs.




New Steal System.
Most of the item descriptions are updated.
Some of the items are remade.
Upgraded Lucky Boxes and put new unique items.
And a lot of bug fixes.




Fixed a starting bug from chapter 3. It should now work properly.
Added proper descriptions to the difficulties.




Removed some test items from chapter 1 beginning.




Chapter 6 is now opened.
Now Item Sets have own unique icons.
Honor Shop Disabled. "Ability Bonus" system will be added later to the campaign that replaces Honor Shop Items.
Remade Esper System.

Remade some of the spell book spells.
Chapter item descriptions to easier to read.
Now there are only two magical balls instead of three. Also now they give solid magic bonus instead of percent.
Removed Phodom's speciality that gives plus one Dig Power every 10th level.
Also changed Professions bonuses.
Some of the spell book spells are remade and balanced such as first Fire Spell.
Added Game Panel where you can for example eat food, move your boxes and cast espers.
And many, many other changes. Once again so many changes I simply cannot remember everything.




Save & load combat kings and spell book spells are fixed.
Restore Panel fixed.
Fixed vitality system.
Six new Galeoth abilities: Chill of the Frost Master, Frozen Storm, Icy Barrage, Inner Light, Mesmerizing Ice Crystal and Piercing Shard.
Combat Kings are remade. All high tier combat kings aren't remade yet.
After every cinematic units you had selected before will be selected for you automatically.
Now quests will give experience like before.
Fixed chapter 5 ending.
Chapter 1 Boss, Chapter 1 Elite Boss, Chapter 3 Boss and Chapter 3 Elite Boss battles are now improved.
Fixed Code Puzzle.
Fixed Kaza Leader Dialog.
Remade Chapter 5 Elite Boss Fight and fixed few problems of it.
Now Main Quest 3 can be completed right after watching The Bridge Cinematic at chapter 5.

Now Agility Stat will give critical dmg and evasion chance.

Fixed a bug and now Black Market sells the correct item: Third Hand. Now you finally can actually get the Thief Set at chapter 2.
Fixed Anthenex Esper's attack type.

Now Lightning Orb's buff should not give any advance to enemies.
Fixed Omega Orb and now it should summon Elemental Golems every 15 to 90 seconds.

^^ yes im having the exact same problem except for me it is six, i realise once you go past 5 you instantly lose any purpose to them since the game is bugged and doesn't see you as having X instances of LMB's
its not completely game breaking just remember to keep them in stacks of 1, 3 (Master key) and 5

I was doing fine .you should try to combine these item in the heroes inventory instead of boxes . Or maybe you bought wrong recipe 'greatest magic ball' not 'greater magic ball' which require 8 small balls.
Dunno if this is reported :The Giant Turtle Boss in ch5 is bugged .If he try to swim through then get taunt ( Phodom S or Frad Flash strike ) he stop fleeing and came back and stand there with invul armor .
and is there any black merchant in ch 4 guys . I am searching for him so bad

Looks nice.

There are a few things that I have to mention though.

At the start, you choose all abilities for your heroes. For someone who plays that game for the very first time, that is a real pain in the ass because you have to read a whole library of spells and decide every time which one you want.
Next to that you haven't seen the game itself so it is harder to judge what spell types or packs you want to have.

If it is possible to do that in a different way then it would be better.


Also one bug report:
Fire Power grants stacks on attack-invoke rather than on-hit-effect. This means that I can get all 3 stacks without actually attacking and within 2 seconds.

Either use a Damage Detection System that can tell if the damage was done by a basic attack, or just do it like a real pro and use an Alternative Damage Engine.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet or not but the spell Chill of the Frost Master heals enemies as well as allies and does not do any damage. Kind of screwed my AoE ability over.

Update: Err never mind, i'm just stupid.

In the latest version 1.0 all the chapters seems to be locked, so in order to play the new version we need to start from prologue. Is there any way to unlock the chapters.

Also can someone please tell me how many steal items are there in chap 8? In chap 8 the stats show total number of steal items as 15, however after stealing from everyone, i.e completing all quest, I got only 13, does the epic boss have more than one item to steal?

I think it's closed campaign so no you can't start from chapters. Maybe I will just let aero answer this question.

Yes i think you miss 2 of them. The otzi king(wendigoo model) and the gargantuan(magnus from dota) if i'm not wrong. I forgot what it's called actually.
For the Otzi you must kill all otzi and after sometimes go back there and you fill find the king.
Gargantuan is at the cave where Fradz find ghost that have magic orb.
Maybe you miss the epic boss zhitenza too?

I would r8 this game so much for its rpg and u spent alot of time on this plus people dont understand that when u put almost a year worth in this map the game itself would take long!

One problem is that I cannot fuse lesser magic balls into greater magic balls and greatest magic balls in chapter 5. This is somewhat annoying since I want to make some items to defeat epic boss...

Edit: The problem is either the sapphire or the lesser magic ball I believe. Even the Orichalcon set doesn't work in chapter 5 since it requires lesser magic ball and sapphire. Does it work in chapter 6? Can anyone confirm this before I move forward? Thx.

Hi Aero, I am playing version 2.1e , the lag in chapter 10 is way too much. The lag started in the epic battle and is still there post epic battle. When I went to the final battle with Xaverion ,forget micro switching between hero's takes a good 15 seconds. I think the epic battle has lot of memory leak, my system was showing close to 3 GB of memory being utilised also the load time post epic quest has doubled earlier it took 5 mins to load now it takes 15 min.

Ok, I figured this out the otzi claw quest requires only 5 claws so I did not steal the rest of the claws that's why the difference. The bosses you mentioned I have stolen from them.

Where are you trying to fuse it? In the box or in phodom inventory? What version you are playing ? I am playing 2.1e and all works fine.You cannot make greatest magic ball in chapter 5. It requires 8 greater magic balls which is not possible in this stage

I'm playing version 1.0 (the latest version not the beta one). You are playing the not up-to-date previous beta version. I always fuse in phodom inventory. Both greatER and Orichalcon set do not work in chapter five.

Yes I locked all chapters. I have warned about this since I start creating the campaign; in other campaigns you don't see all chapters from the start. You unlock them. You have to play from prologue this version.

1.0 should have fixed this problem.

Quick question: Do items such as the ruby ax group, mana ball, and anderaj items allow you to get the stats on all characters in a game or just one. For example say i get the extra 18 stats for phodom can i then give the item to fradz and scale him too?

^^ no. what you can do however is purchase adrenaj 1 2 and 3 and manaball and crown and then each of these will still work individually.

Universal Orb issue

The universal orb which gets split into 3 pieces, when we start the campaign from end, does not increase the exp, neither does it charge the items when the creeps dies. So the only buff of 100% speed, cant be used, cos the movement we come near a creep the creep dies, So I have a item which could have helped me finish the map faster, but does not serve the purpose since neither my exp increases nor charges.

I've played your map for a long time now and I really like all the cool and unique features you've included in this campaign such as the set forging digging 3 heores 6 skills 6 invents and all that cool stuff, especially the background music. So I was hopin' if you could maybe ummm.. share a link to all the songs you've been using. I know you posted the songs on a thread which I.. dont know where it is now but I know it was there, its just that I cant find all of them... So can you please send me a complete track??? Please??? I'd ever be so grateful for that and I already am really grateful for this map! Thank you BTW for this and i hope maybe you might still make more maps in the future :D

oh and I've noticed my ratings gone. strange. but I rated this 5/5 before and when I try to rate it now it says check value invalid so I really don't know why but I just want you to know it deserves 100/5 XD

..statue boss at chapter 8-9 in the cave..is buged or just stupid overpowered shit as some elite in previous maps..but this one isnt elite but main..cant be skiped..wtf are tactics for him..to burst him for 20 min dpsing..?

When i bought aerial shoes, which requires only one lesser magic ball, with 4 lesser magic balls none remained and the icon for the shoes had 4 charges.

Well then you should allow players to split stacked items. What if I have 8 lesser magic balls stacked up but certain combination requires only 6? Does that mean we scrap all 8 balls and collect 6 again? That doesn't make any sense.

Great game so far, i am really enjoying it!

Everything so far is good, I only found one bug while playing;

In the first chapter when you go save Dart, I used the Impact Flare ability to kill him, and after that when the cinematic was going, the ability's special effect was still there, I did try to print screen it but I pressed it again by accident.

Keep going at this, It has a great feel to it!

When fighting the Epic boss jurxy in chapter 6 how do I kill him? When ever I bring him low he sends one of my heroes to another room and then fully heals himself. I could kill him with two heroes but the full heal keeps me from doing so. Is there a way to stop him from healing?

I played this campaign long ago while in the beta/alpha stage. I tried it again now and I won't keep playing it. Why?

There's just too much new stuff at once. Having to choose all those abilities for characters which haven't even been introduced yet and all custom resources/stats/professions/inventories/systems/you name it, directly at the start of the game; it's overwhelming.
Take a 2D sidescroller game for example, your character will be introduced to new skills as the game progresses, not thrown at you in the form of overflowing amount of information at the start of the game.

I can see you have put much time into this project. If you ever decide to make another map/game, you might want to take into consideration what I mentioned above.

Don't interpret this in the wrong way. I'm just giving my feedback/opinion.

i cant seem to create a greater magic ball in chapter 5. RECIPE+5X MAGIC BALL + SAPPHIRE = nothing happen. Please check. after 3 years, i played it again. Very good improvement.

How does one solve the crystal cave challenge in chapter 8? I looked it up and it says on the chosen ones site to stand over the golems so they don't resurrect but as soon as a golem dies it respawns giving me no time to stand over its corpse. Has this changed or is it just bugged now?

Get some items that could burn mana. Reduce the golem 's mana to 0 before killing it

Chapter 5, Greater Magic Ball

I used both Phodom and Fradz's inventories, had the recipe, sapphire, and a 12 stack of Lesser Magic Balls, but nothing happens. There's no mention of a way to split stacks so I can't try using only 5. Yes, I'm sure I have the right recipe, it only costs 100 gold.

I'm playing with the most updated version.

There's a bunch of stuff you can't get without the portals in chapter 5, so this is a pretty bad bug.

How long has it been? I think I'm late in my congratulation yet, nonetheless, congrats! I enjoyed how deep and satisfying your campaign was and I was frustrated to see it came unfinished(like 2-3 years ago), though, seeing you and your fan didn't give it up after 8 years makes me wonder the kind of tenacity and courage it takes to hang on to such a huge project, and how touching it is now that it has come to a happy ending. Again, my most jubilee congratulation, I hope that you will continue to be strong and your future work be fruitful.

But the sentiments aside, which I really meant all of it, is it possible for me to hook up an old save and continue where I left off? If it is, please tell me, I won't be able to get anything done if I have to put out like 40 hrs~ to begin from scratch, again. Cheers!

You can't continue from the exact location you left off after downloading a new version. However, you can restart the current chapter you left off on with all previous data from earlier chapters saved. All you have to do is download the new version then place it where the old one is. Then, Launch Warcraft 3 and go to the menu for The Chosen Ones campaign and click on the last chapter you were in the middle of. (all save files for the old version will no longer work after new one is downloaded)

I used both Phodom and Fradz's inventories, had the recipe, sapphire, and a 12 stack of Lesser Magic Balls, but nothing happens. There's no mention of a way to split stacks so I can't try using only 5. Yes, I'm sure I have the right recipe, it only costs 100 gold.

I'm playing with the most updated version.

There's a bunch of stuff you can't get without the portals in chapter 5, so this is a pretty bad bug.

You must only use one person's inventory. All items must be in the same character's inventory. I have not experienced the bug you describe so if placing all items in the same inventory doesn't work you are left with two choices. A) Move on to chapter 6. B) Download the latest version and restart chapter 5.
