Wtf happened to the descriptions in items, skills, and spells?

I recently came back to warcraft 3 after a long break and ran into a little problem. It seems like all the games I used to play has had their item descriptions and recipes descriptions disappear. Where as for example an item would say club +10 damage it instead reads as purchased club, or in the case of a recipe saying it requires "a + b + recipe= item" it now reads as purchased recipe. This is a pretty big problem for if I don't know the game I won't know how to make the powerful combos in it. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there anything I can do to fix this or is this a wait for blizzard to fix with a patch thing?

In the game options, is the box 'Enhance tooltips' checked?
