I really want to start modelling but i don´t know what program im going to use.... is it 3d studio max? i can´t afford to buy... plz help me out...

i have download it but i don't know how use him ( i want know what do we must to do for open him because it is whrite : select a program for open him ~~ use web for open him) HELP ME PLZ !
