Weapon attachment

I'm unable to attach any weapon attachment to this model: https://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/models-530/villagerman-48148/?prev=search=infantry&d=list&r=20
Actually, the attachment appears but has weird angle if i use "hand, right/left" attachment points and appears on weird place if i use "weapon".
Any ideas?

I would ask on the model thread but it's maker hasn't been online since 2006. Also they mentioned on the thread that weapons should be attached on weapon point.

At first, I see nothing wrong with hands attachments. About the weapon - the model maker didn't attached 'Weapon Ref' to hand bone. I can edit model myself if you want - but it's really easy - select hand left bone (just a bit above 'Hand Left Ref' and press 'Create Attachment'. Name it weapon and copy the old weapon ref's coordinates. Edit them is something is still not right.

Would you mind doing it?
I opened the shotgun in model editor, and i thought what you're talking about is in Node menager, but all i see there is a something (bone?) called shotgun.
I'm a dummy when it comes to models D:
