WC3Tracker - New project for useful Warcaft 3 data collection

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a project aimed at improving visibility into Warcraft 3 custom games and overall activity.

The idea behind WC3Tracker is to build a system that tracks live lobbies and game data, then turns that into something actually useful for players and map makers.

Right now, finding out what’s being hosted, what’s popular, or how active certain maps are is pretty limited. This project aims to change that.

What it currently does:
  • Tracks active lobbies
  • Lists hosted games in real time
  • Shows basic player counts and activity
  • Saves useful data in to a database.
Planned direction:
  • Player activity insights
  • Better tools for discovering games
  • Cleaner and more readable UI
The goal is not just to collect data, but to make it practical. Something that helps players find games faster and gives map developers real insight into how their maps are performing.

This is still very much a work in progress, and I’m actively building and improving it.

If you have ideas, feedback, or features you’d like to see, feel free to share. Community input will shape how this evolves.

I’ll post updates here as development progresses.

Hey everyone,

A pretty big update has just been added to WC3Tracker.

Battle.net login and user profiles are now officially live on the site.

Users can now log in with their Battle.net account and access personal hosting profiles that track hosting activity and map history over time.

I assume it only for battle.net not other places like w3champions of 3rd party VPNs like Radmin?

I ask because ever since the new Legacy TFT 1.29 came out on the Launcher, places like Radmin shot up in active Lobbys
not all of them is using 1.29, some use 1.26 (ICCUP), some use 1.27, some use reforged.

I like how the goal is to gain visibility yet the home page is the most form over function I've ever seen.
Obviously there is the much more useful other tabs - but still.
Oh yeah the universe view is supposed to be kind of a screensaver lol. Personal preference but I love visualized data.

This is official data from bnet lobbies yes.

Unless someone can/is willing to build me an api I can fetch those lobbies info from they wont be on this database.

News on WC3 Tracker.

Been heavily improving WC3Tracker over the last weeks and just pushed another large update focused on performance, readability, and long term Warcraft 3 custom game analytics.

New updates include:

• Added new player region graphs and regional activity tracking
You can now visualize player distribution and activity trends across Battle.net regions much more clearly over time.

• Major render engine rework
Large parts of the frontend rendering pipeline were rewritten to massively reduce unnecessary resource usage and improve responsiveness across the site.

• Smoother UI animations and transitions
The overall browsing experience should now feel significantly cleaner and more fluid while keeping the live data feeling active.

• Reduced CPU and memory usage
Pages with large amounts of live data, charts, and map statistics now render far more efficiently than before.

• New daily player base reports
WC3Tracker now generates daily reports showing Warcraft 3 custom game player activity trends and ecosystem changes.

• Daily custom map activity reports
Map level activity data and trends are now being aggregated daily to provide a better long term historical picture of the custom game scene.

• Backend optimization improvements
Tracking and aggregation systems were optimized further for better long term scalability and data reliability.

For anyone unfamiliar with the project:

WC3Tracker tracks live Warcraft 3 custom game activity across Battle.net including:

• Live lobbies
• Custom map statistics
• Session history
• Host activity
• Player base trends
• Regional server activity
• Historical map analytics

The goal is basically to preserve visibility into a part of Warcraft 3 that has never really had proper public analytics before.

There’s still a lot more planned including deeper map analytics, expanded player profiles, community systems, and more historical tracking tools.

Site:

Would genuinely appreciate feedback from players, map makers, and long time WC3 custom game fans.

One thing I'd be interested with this, is to see the win rate of each color. This will help with balancing factions in RTS-maps.
There is no way to get lobby data from regular on-going custom games. All the data collected is purely out of the lobby list and nothing else.

There is other stuff like wc3stats that has a upload system and I believe they also have jass/lua code you can attach in to custom maps that set certain win / loss condition for the players.

But this requires the custom map to actually code it and players to upload the replay file.

WC3Tracker Update Live Community Chat Now Available!

Hey everyone,

We've been working on making WC3Tracker more than just a statistics and lobby tracking website. Today we're introducing a brand new feature designed to bring the custom game community closer together.

💬 Live Chat Has Arrived

You can now chat with fellow Warcraft III custom map players directly on WC3Tracker.

Whether you're looking for teammates, discussing balance changes, sharing strategies, promoting upcoming games, or simply talking about your favorite custom maps, the new live chat gives the community a place to connect in real time.

What Can You Use It For?

  • Find players for upcoming lobbies
  • Discuss custom map strategies
  • Share map recommendations
  • Report map issues and bugs
  • Talk with map developers
  • Meet other custom game enthusiasts
  • Follow ongoing community discussions
  • Memes?

    Näyttökuva 2026-06-10 003037.webp

Why We Added It

One thing we've noticed over the years is that Warcraft III custom game players are spread across many different communities and platforms. While WC3Tracker helps players discover games and track activity, there wasn't a central place for everyone to simply talk.

The new chat aims to solve that by giving the community a shared space directly connected to the maps and lobbies they already use every day.

What's Next?

This is only the beginning. We have many more community-focused features planned for the future, and your feedback will help shape what comes next.

As always, thank you to everyone using WC3Tracker, hosting games, creating maps, and keeping the Warcraft III custom game scene alive.

Visit WC3Tracker, join the conversation, and let us know what you think!

See you in the chat.
