This model is a bit disappointing. For a Telsa Coil, some sort of attack animation would've been nice to fit the lightning attacks. Also, the shading is poor.
 
i looked at the model in my 3ds max 6 and it looks EXACTLY LIKE IN THE PICTURE wow your good 8)

edit i just read u r recent post ok how long will it take as long as its not like 50 years im fine anytime
 
#1 - I dont have red alert 2 :( But a picture or 2 could help alot.
#2 - I suck at skinning :/ i just used a random pixle generator to make it metal looking.
#3 - I would add an attack animation, but the telsa coil in C&C didnt have one, cept like a chargeing type thing, but i dont know how to make lightning effects in the model, maybe i could make a ribbon effect that goes from ring to ring like some static discharges, for the stand animation, then have them huge for the attack, i dont know.
Right now im helping Vegito currently with his Wall Troubles :)

You want pictures of a tesla coil from Red Alert 2? Or maybe you want all of the buildings?!? :) I can make in-game screenshots and thumbnails of them from the sidebar.

But I have problems with extracting the sound files I'll try tomorrow.
 
Lol everything wrong with it is the skin.
But that is why this is in the models section and not the skins section =/
Can any one comment on the poly count, i dont know if 750 polys is too much for a building.
 
I found the sounds from Red Alert 2 - charge and shoot of Tesla Coil.

I don't know, someone will make a mod maybe(just a thought)? Just think if the model is so popular than the mod will be...

Pike, i looked at the pictures, and i doubt most of those models are worth makeing. They all look like no one will use them realy =/
Unless someone is makeing a mod, then i will make them.

u need to make the model a bit taller and add a worn metal texture to the team color thing, then it will look better. o and also add the 4 things that go around the tesla coil thing, there like greyish-white and theres 1 at every 1/4 around the bottem. U know what i'm talking about? they have it in Red Alert 2.

I dont know what game your modeling this after but theres one on command and conquer and it looks pretty different... like the rings are farther out and yeah its taller and before it attacks it charges lightning up its rings...

Am I missing something?, or does this model not work?
I dled it and imported it to WE, set the texture to path: Textures/blahblah.blp
and model path to: blahblah/Telsa Coil.mdx
and in WE it said: "Cannot load Telsa Coil.mdl"
I think you need to remove the space " " in between Telsa and Coil with either nothing or a "_" underscore like "TelsaCoil" or "Telsa_Coil" and then it'll work, btw I am using TFT Ver. 1.18 maybe thats why?!

I dled War3FileConverter and changed it myself, I'll see how that works? O_o

Just import the Telsa Coil.MDX file, and don't change the path.
Then import Metal.BLP and modify the path to Metal.BLP with nothing infront of it.

And also don't forget, after importing files, save the map, and then you can use it.
If you don't save it after importing it won't work.
 
its funny because a tesla coil of that size probably puts out a lower frequency but a much much lower current lol so im gonna take my guess that it might not accuialy kill you lol j/k i dont wanna take my chanches. my TC probably would kill you at 281kHz at about a million volts not shure what the current output is lol. but you get the idea SWeet model man 20/20
