Can someone make a tutorial on how to place files in a mpq to replace the regular files. Basicly how would you go about making a Total Conversion.

Its not possible to place or overwrite files to/in the mpq. The mpq itself is used everyday for every aspect in wc3. If you want to try something simiar, download MPQ Draft.
However when importing skins for models such as units, structures, doodads or even terrain, it overwrites the initial file in the player's mpq who plays it just for that game.

In theory you could do it, but the size would be way too big.

size wouldn't matter.....it wouldn't be transfered over the battle.net

thats my point. make a map with the units configured to match starcraft but the models sound files and such be contained in a mpq

so those that would want to play with the models could download it off a site and the map would be a small file easly transfered over bnet....those that didn't have the mpq would simply have the wc models

neone who modded for comand and conquer should understand

You'll have to upload it somewhere and get into advanced details - a special battle.net gateway for players who have it.

You could do it, however next time a patch came along you'd be screwed. Anywho, get WinMPQ, rename the models you want to replace other models to the models that they'll be replacing (Same goes with skins) and import and overwrite the old models
