Tutorial Request - Model show off

I've seen, for an exampel, Werewulf post W.I.P models in a competition. When she does, it always comes out looking cool, like clay or something. I would like to request a tutorial on how to show off your models, using such things, like renders... I don't really know if it's a such advanced knowledge, that it requires an entire tutorial, though...

-For max 5-Clay Render
1. Add a skylight.
2. Rendering>Advanced lighting>Light Tracer (or other)
3. Make sure its ticked as active (not much need to adjust some settings)
4. Render
5. Screenshot or Save image.
