Everything is well executed and is useful nonetheless, Approved.
Some of them have rather dimly noticeable differences, the most evident ones being ice and jungle troll monks.
Yea, and that's because:

😉 Mildkidneys commissioned 2 icons basically, Forest Troll Shadow Monk and Forest Troll Shadowmeld, and the rest was my personal will in case someone wants to use the other Trolls from the model pack.

Another great set of icons! Always glad to see the end result, they're very good!
Glad you like them! 🙌

Always in for a good Troll, especially one that complements another custom asset. 🩵 And providing so many extra variants is extra kind.

(I will say these are perhaps not your strongest icons, but then again you've been pumping out so many lately how can I really complain? It would also be neat to see Jungle Troll versions of the "Ambush" & "Shadowmeld" as well, but again, hard to complain)

Thanks, I'm happy to see people use and download them 🙂

In general, I have a nerdy operating principle 😄 I always pay full attention to every icon despite the workload, to complete it as a game asset, and I try to stick to the "quality" which ranges from screenshots to pure Didier drawings. The outcome usually depends on the media we have. If we take existing Troll icons and such nuances as tilt, perspective, color, detalization, screenshot base, ect., we can say that I aimed exactly at what we can call "compliment the other Troll icons". If I don't have enough media I have to re-imagine stuff. If I have a big range of media with the same screenshot-y quality, I'll try not to go out of style, but I'll keep an eye on better icons, of course. So, I usually play around the existing range of icons, quality they have, and take all my time till I feel the asset fits well.

Of course, the commissioner's vision can also make its own adjustments.

On the other hand, I am inclined to believe that the more freedom the customer gives me, the more I will extract from the icon in terms of "quality". Thus, I'm really grateful here to @MildKidneys and other guys who provides me with such an opportunity 😌

But, of course, if we look at it in general, I recently started my journey in the icon construction, so practice makes perfect!

P.S. I'm always happy to discuss such thing with you, dear Archon 🙂

I decided that the Dark Troll variation could serve as a versatile icon as shadow magic is visually-wise connected with purple color, and when this magic is used, units get surrounded by some sort of a purple veil. Maybe I'll spend time on more variations but only if I'm asked multiple times so I know more people would like to have that, so I like your "hard to complain" here 😅
