Correction, Tonfas were made as protection by Okinawa from swords and other sharp metal weapons when the Japanese government banned metal working. At this time Okinawa had been considered a separate culture.

So Tonfas are Okinawan, not Chinese. Sorry I had to correct it, I just have to correct these kind of things :O
