Lore and Legends
A small update on The First War: We have been iterating one some missions these past months. We have changed layout and restructured gameplay and AI. Chapter 6 has been causing some AI issues which we are solving slowly (believe it or not, JASS AI is still relatively new to me). It's hard to say how much overall progress we have really made these past months but it's not nothing. Current status is:
Humans:
Chapters 0-5: Phase 1 polishing done. Currently on hold until other missions have caught up.
Chapter 6: Final stages of Phase 1 polishing. Currently debugging AI.
Chapter 7: Missing 2 bossfights and several scripted encounters.
Chapter 8: Recently redesigned layout and simplified gameplay. Will rework AI next.
Orcs:
Chapters 9-11: First iteration ready. Will do first polishing pass soon.
Chapters 12 and 15: Map done. Missing triggers.
Chapters 13, 15, and 16: Concept phase.
Polishing phase 1 (alpha): Working gameplay/quests. Cinematics are near-final, excluding music. Basic balancing for all 3 difficulties (map to map basis).
Polishing phase 2 (internal beta): Bugfixing, music, balancing campaign as a whole.
Polishing phase 3 (open beta): Release format unknown. Likely in packs of 3-5 chapters every X weeks. Depends on feedback. We will not go into open beta until all maps are at least Phase 2 complete.
