The Eternal Sun ORPG:should i continue it with the risk of no save/load?

Heyz there!Yea...on the forums i've been asking lots of questions, and maybe too many. The reason was because i wanted my map to be almost perfect.I got answers to all my questions till i asked about the save/load script.I thought it would be solved, maybe harder, but solved as any other scripts i asked for. So,i went on forums and this time i didn't get the answers i wanted... so i went on google and God knows wtf was there.I also said WTF!? How am i supposed to do all this trigger?I didn't even understand the things (4 pages ffs) and it said that was only the basic.I thought "man.my map would be no use if i didn't have a save/load code script.Though,i worked on it and i wanted to ask the hive for oppinions etc...
So here's what the map would have:
ORPG style
tactical bosses
dungeons
class quests
7 classes, each upgrading to another 3 classes at lvl 20
HR models/skins (not all, thats the problem since some models do not work for me)
Quests ofc
Other awesome things

So:Should i continue the map,and hoping i will solve the save problem(or not)
or should i abbandon,which would be sad :( ??

If you don't add a save/load system to it, then it wouldn't be called an "ORPG." It would be called a Single Player RPG map. Could you specify what problems you are encountering with those systems? Script problems, trigger problems or adding one? I could help you, depending on what you need help with though.

NO

Don't risk it, but I am quite sad also that you will abandon it, with such good terrains and stuff. Good thing I bumped here. So, Save/Load? I think I saw some maps with Save/Load trigger that you can copy paste. Nah, just kidding.

Here's the link: http://www.epicwar.com/maps/search/?n=save+load&go=1

Good luck finding your code (don't forget to give credits!)

i won't forget.and thx much for link.right now imma get it

Yeah, of course. Because in every Singleplayer RPG, you have the time to beat the game in one shot.

The O in ORPG stands for online, so that just means it is supposed to be played in multiplayer via internet. Whether you need save/load for it depends on the specific content. Those free SotRPGs for example do not really need it where you can just unleash your wild imagination. An Obsidian Depths or the DBZ crawlers do not require it either as they are short enough and you shall pass them with the same player constellation. So if there would be a save/load, it would not be played-related.

To create a simple save system is not that hard but thing is you won't be able to store much in one input line without compression. Without it, you are only able to include few. The realization of such a feature can be implemented later on, so if you just know it's possible, that's okay for now and would not be a reason to cancel the project. You do not need it to test either nor is it a base for other features. But frankly, if it already fails at that, what is to expect from the project in general? You cannot just rely on all the pre-finished solutions other people offer you when approaching a project. Instead, you should have aimed at a lower standard then.

If an RPG is purely single player, wouldn't the save/load feature inherent in WC3 suffice?
