Yay I wanna play Shados' TD so bad XD As well, rage recommends all of the CBS TD's whic is good because they're great! Mini-Me is a great TD maker. They're all fun but challenging. DoTC and L&R TD especially. Another I'd recommend is Element TD. Quite hard, but very fun and very well designed. As well you could always give Warhammer 40K TD a go XD

The fact that it was Mini's maps were not the reason I mentioned them but because it's the only TD maps I play besides from Soldier TD which my friend translated so I were forced to play it many times and Skibis because it is the pwn :p

But yeah Element TD is nice aswell, I forgot that one, it just gets a bit repetetive after awhile, but it's nice.

Another TD to recomend would be Stackerz TD, simply pwnz, a classics!

There are a few Green Td's out there that I have found that are truly challenging. The new ones are horrible anymore, like most TD's out there. The other thing I can't stand aside from DotA: PEOPLE HOSTING THESE ANCIENT NEVER-HEARD-OF ROC MAPS. I can understand if it's a retro/oldschool map that is a classic, and/or has recent versions that suck and/or stopped beign updated ages ago and was forgotten except for the few who knew how great it was. I can deal with that. But its these ancient maps that were made back when RoC came out and most people haden't had any grasp of the WE yet and were just churning out crappy maps to get better using it. Why people choose to host them, when most are broken or suck really bad, is beyond me.

To each his/her own, but I assure you, the Defense of the Ancients maps for RoC (the current ones) are often less buggy than DotA allstars. They are also a lot more fun as you cannot run up and deal 1200 damage in a single hit (just my opinion, I'm not saying this is pure fact). You actually have to strategize to kill someone. (I play both DotA and DotA allstars regularly, and this is what I've experienced)

Now if someone is hosting Defense of the Ancients on TFT, that's just silly. It was made for RoC and works best in RoC. :)

Also,
people haden't had any grasp of the WE yet
WE wasn't as advanced, yet the authors still were able to create some impressive special abilities (that didn't even require triggering) through SLK/TXT modification. In truth, that requires a lot more knowledge and ability that simply using the TFT world editor (which does most of the work for you).

Just some observations and opinions. Please take them as such and not as a personal attack.

Okay, I wouldn't mind DotA if it wasen't being hosted spammily, constantly, 8-at-once-ily. That makes me furious, because I have to sort through, in my opinion, garbage, to get to any of the decent maps being hosted, if there are even any at the time. I still don't like the game, but as you said, each man has his own.

I used to be able to, but I got my new router a while ago and I haven't hosted anything yet, so i'm not sure what the deal is atm. But I intend to. And yes, it is great being able to host so you don't have to put up with other jerkwad hosts hosting their crapped-up games.

not when your parents control it and set a super complicated password. i saw my dad type like a twenty letter password. its probably some long word, but my dad makes really good passes. X( I'm never going to host. Until I go to college

Yeah but having been to portforward.com a billion times myself, its not as easy as the instructions. There's always more. Also, firewalls keep hackers from attacking your computer through the ports that the firewall blocks. Viruses have free reign since the user downloads them, but antivirus software gets rid of them.
