split geosets?

is it possoble to split geosets in twain?
For example: A modell has 2 weapons, 1 in left hand, 1 in right hand. they belong to the same geoset. Now i want to have this geoset with only the left hand weapon and a new geoset with the right hand weapon.

I hope you understand me and can help me.

You simply delete one of the weapons and add the other on, on the other hand with geoset merger.
