i cant seem to add a certain skin into my map. any help anyone? (and i dont know what specific section this goes into, so sorry admins :p )

Import the .blp file into your map and copy/paste the path there is on the site where you downloaded the skin. When you have did that, open object editor and choose the unit you want to use the skin on, and then change the 'custom path:' to the same path you used in import manager. Then place your unit in the map and test it. That should be all.

Don't give wrong advice.

Correct Advice:

Code:
A) Import to your map
B) Change filename (in import manager) to the one mentioned in the skin's readme (Here on the Hive it's also in the page of the submission)
C) Use the model whose skin you have replaced on your unit

It's not a "unit", it's a file. And it's done in the "Import Manager".

Does that sound nice to you? It should be: Find the unit in Object Editor, and change it's model to the model modified by the skin.

Lol wtf.
choose the unit you want to use the skin on, and then change the 'custom path:' to the same path you used in import manager
its in the object editor, where you change the model of it to the skins path.
Then place your unit in the map and test it
this is the last stage (where you allready has changed the model in object editor...

Where did u see a "Art - Skin" field for a unit? The skin must overwrite a built-in skin so that a model uses it.

And theres no need for map testing, or even placing the unit, if it's done you can tell right away (after you save, so that WE clears + reloads cache).
