i use the hive quite often. and every so often when i click anything that will refresh the page, go to another forum or user cp the 'cannot connect to server' page comes up.

it is only this website that this happens to me and it gets quite annoying

Something like that yeah. But you could actually apply a different fix. I will consider making a tutorial about that.

Whenever this happened to me, and it still does with chat, I changed my DNS options.

For some reason, I cannot access chat at all, and the only way to rectify it is to set a static DNS in control panel. After that, works like a charm.
