Interesting proposal, although simple... all that was missing was the physiognomy to look more like an Oriental, perhaps a different face.
There are serious problems with overlapping pieces/geosets passing over each other, it would be better to adjust that.
 
Nice work. just a suggestion blade master animations would be more suitable for a Daimyo specially given that it would give a sense of his power as a noble and in skill as a influential samurai Lord. the Ronin is perfect with its style of combat. the Samurai could possibly used the same animations as Ronin just they both use blood elven walk animation. the Ronin still look like he has a shield that's the only reason y I suggested the animation change.
