Hello,

I'm creating an altered Melee map, but the randomness seems broken :
The IA always choose the same race even if it's put to random, and creeps always loot the same items.

Do you have any idea for the reason why it does that ?

I recently had issues with randomness, and apparently if you generate random numbers in cinematic mode, you will always get the same numbers. Try to set random variables out of cinematic mode and see if it changes something.

This is to remove the random damage aspect from combat cinematics so that the results are consistent. It would suck showing a losing battle to only have the intended losers winning due to RNG.

Wow, what a strange setting, thanks !!!
It is to keep test runs deterministic, which can be helpful for some kinds of testing. If this is not helpful for the kinds of testing you want to do then it is a good idea to turn that setting off.

An example of when it would be useful is when testing specific AI interactions, such as trying to solve a bug where the AI is getting stuck. An example of when it is not useful is when testing if a random selection system is working correctly, as without different seeds each test run you will not be testing various parts and conditions of such a system.
