i have a system that uses a unit called "Random" that i replace with one of 5 specific unit types via trigger.

i've placed these all around my map and they DO randomly become something.. but the same "Random" turns into the same thing everytime... how can i fix this?

Thats because you test the map when you press the "Test Map" button. That will make the trigger generate absolutely the same actions/numbers/etc everytime when you do it.

All you do is, save the map somewhere in "Maps" folder, then test, if its do the same thing, then theres an error into the trigger.

It will also be good if you copy/paste the trigger here using the ['TRIGGER'][/'TIRGGER'] lines (remove the ')

Try unchecking this in WE;
File > Preferences > Test Map (Tab) > Use Fixed Random Seed

He's right. I will explain how this works. Fixed Random Seed is used by Warcraft 3 World Editor for some strange reason. Sometimes, it's used to keep the same generated buildings, other times, it's used to keep spell maker's happy with chance skills. By unchecking that, the triggers and functions will become random at start, allowing the map maker to test out chance triggers and values. Usually, its on by default but turning it off will allow you to start your map up with random values and variables when told.

Well, at least that's what I think it is.
