So, I really wanto use the map for my terraining but I want the initial cliff level to be "shallow" to make more smooth ponds and such? How can I do that without having to make a new map? Edit or something, if someone knows it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If it is the Shallow Water you mean, then that is simple. You just take the shallow tile, then max the brush size and cover the entire map with it, then rise the terrain where you dont want it to be shallow. Though, if you lower the terrain where you want to ponds to be you should see the water comming forth. >.>
