There are 3 variations - 256x256, 512x512, 1024x1024.
The ice surface is offset by -1000 in height to allow placement below the terrain level.
In the video, this is implemented using a dummy unit (in combination with a model of regular puddle).

Like the ripple model, this model includes 100 Stand Alternate animations to display ripples on the surface.

Super useful. Seems to blend in well with the terrain. Wonder if it also looks good going through doodads and units.
Also, it would be a good idea to share the test/example maps too in the description.

Do you mean how the puddle grows in the video? I change height of dummy with a trigger.
