No matter how many projects I want to make, it always ends up being the RPG that attracts me the most.
This project Coldsnap I was working on back in 2020.
I have attached the map, let me know what you think of the terrain layout so far.
Map layout:
It's a snow/ice themed island, where your character needs Warmth stat to prevent from taking cold damage. It takes the player into a open world RPG with lots of hidden treasures, caverns and trials through-out the map.
Lore:
The island is controlled by 7 ancient demigods named after every 7 deadly sin. They are sealed away in ancient temples. You are washed up on the shore and after freeing the first sin Sloth, you will be accompanied by him on your journey.
Gameplay:
Enemies are determined by their armor type: Eidolon, Skinwalker, Zealot, Succubus, Behemoth etc. Each type of enemy has their own special kit and counters. Zealots are often enhanced by special buffs which may be dispelled. Eidolon do not have attacks, but have powerful random spells and are resistant to auto attacks. Your choice of Hero will have strength and weaknesses against every type of enemy.
Heroes are picked as a major category and may evolve into subclasses. All which are unique to what we know as Warrior, Mage, Rogue classes today. Abilities and systems will be weird, new and unique.
Heroes:
Witcher - Strong against Skinwalkers and Eidolon due to crowd control and silence spells.
Exorcist - Strong against Zealot and Eidolon due to dispell and banish spells.
Giant Slayer - Strong against Behemoth due to powerful percent health damage attacks.
Pathfinder - Strong against Succubus due to stealth and trap detection.
