Nulling the aura's duration

I have a skill that after you use, you gain +100% attack and looses 10% mana each attack, but its based in a aura inside a spellbook, and even after I remove it, you still with the aura for around 1-3s, and this is much if you have double power!
Can I instantly remove the aura?

I though bufs didn't do anything, since you can give the same buf to many spells...
