Noob needs help!

Hi! Well, I've been playing wc3 ladder games and TDs only. Well, I picked up an old RoC TD and decided to mod it, because I love TDs so much i figured that I should make one! Well, I redid the map, balanced out some creeps, added some towers, but I need help with a few things :
-If the setting of the map is ashenvale, is it possible to add in lava and ice terrain?
-How do I add/edit text such as tips?
-Is it possible to change the cursor in the game?
-Can you add music files that are not MIDIs? If so, how?
-How to do you add a special loading and map screen?
-What are triggers, and is there a tut for noobs on how to use them?

1. To edit terrain tileset you can go to advanced - tileset editor (name sth like this).
2. Text tips of units can be changed in Unit Editor in Object Editor, spell tooltips in Spell Editor, it's Text - Tooltip property
3. It's possible. You should go to Game Interface in Advanced, and find it there.
4. War3 uses mp3 music files and wav sounds.
5. Find a tutorial for this.
6. Triggers are scripts, that allows to do specific actions on events, eg. create units, effects, display text, and other stuff that you can see playing a map. In TD's unit's are created by triggers, and triggers tells them where to go. Many spells are made by triggers. To be good map maker, it's necesarry to know well how to use triggers.

To add a custom loading screen: download the War3model editor: http://www.resources.hiveworkshop.com/?id=2&s=tools
It can convert any image into a 512x512 blp image to be used in the map.

Nononono, not tooltips. Kinda like how in a lot of custom games it starts on the side and says made by __________ and also tell you how to play, ect, ect.
Example : In Enfo's Team Survival when you chose a hero it says information about the hero.

Make the folowing trigger:

Events:
Unit - a is selected.

Conditions:
Unit type of triggering unit is a (specific hero)

Actions:
Game - Display for all players the text message: write your description

One More question, is it possible to make buildable terrain non-buildable? thnx.
And also how do you put one of those map exclamation points to highlight that a certain building is there?

yes, somerewhere in the trigger editor on the "environment" section, has a trigger to make it pathable, buildable, etc.

2. You are going to edit someone elses map and you dont even know what are triggers? Maybe you should just forget about it. There is already enough crappy stolen maps out there.
