[Need Suggestions] Alternative 3D modelling programs.

Well, I don't know if is here the right place to ask for it but I tried in the Town Hall and I got no answers... So I'll give a try here... There are some other alternatives besides 3D Studio Max to create 3D models for Warcraft 3? I'm asking it because I got Windows 7 and the 3D Studio Max 4.0/5.0 doesn't work in my SO, someone can tell me some more alternatives to work 3D models for Warcraft?

Gmax, MdlVis, Milkshape(paid) are commonly used programs as far as I know. You can use Magos' or wc3 viewer (I think that was what its called?) to view them.

Gmax... Is a Free software... But I will need some more tool to convert the models and animations?

NeoDex 2.65

It works for gmax and 3ds max (newer versions). It has full modeling capabilities and more feutures than Wc3 Art Tools (except the previewer).
