[Solved] Need help with copy rank system

hello hive, i was trying to import b_a_d 's rank system and its not working i was wondering if someone can help me.


Rank System

i copied the map data
imported rank ability as A00N
i copied & pasted the whole system & the multiboard

The multi board shows up
Welcome Private shows up
nothing else happens.

You need to update references to abilities when importing systems.

For example an ability 'A001' might import as 'A00N'. The triggers will continue to reference 'A001' after being imported, which is not correct. One will have to also change the trigger reference to that ability to be 'A00N' to match the copied ability for it to work.

wow fast reply much appreciated. i am aware, but A00N is the unit code for the ability used in the rank system so i am pretty confused as to why it wont work still

You may have to provide the map you imported it into which has the issue. If an imported system does not but looks like it should then the cause is likely obscure such as trigger conflict or even a bug in the original system.

while your helping can you also telling me why this is returning a syntax error ReleaseCameraUnit (0)

Is the map made with Warcraft III 1.32 beta? I can only help with maps made with 1.31 (release at time of posting).

Ah sheet. Well I’m probably asking too much, but could you possibly list the steps you take while importing the system?

Also would you know off the top of you head why that is returning a syntax error ?

could you possibly try copying the trigger into a test map & seeing if you can get it to work?
