In the world editor go to the top where it shows (File_Edit_View_Layer_Scenario_Tools_Advanced_Module_Window_Help) At the top, you go under the "Advanced" sections, then find "Game Interface" click this. The standard warcraft icons for several things are found here including what your describing. simply check the box that reads "Use custom Game Interface" and you can edit the gold icons and such.
