ok, i dont understand why my image of the skin i did looks so bad here. when it looks like 30 times better in my Gimp.

Yeah... will be a bit hard. Your icon creating knowlage will confuze you with skining.
Well this is not SO bad. I saw worst things (like golem skin I messed up ^^).
Yes... read tutorials a bit. they will help I gues.

the skin texture is better, but the armor is bothering me. frog armor shouldn't be that shiny and chrome-ish. try to make it a bit of a worn out metal kind of texture.

it has nothing to do with the quality, but rather with the texture of the metal. the quality is fine as it is.

well, i kinda like it in game, maybe if some more want me to change it i will.

if i remove the spikes on his back and the armor that he has, would it be good u think? like a real frog with a weapon, a shield and a kind of helm. i think people would understand more its a frog.

Hehe, skinning is different than icons

You need even stronger shadings/highlights and keep the softness at the same time :O

The green on the skin is to bright, try different tones, add some details like solid circles, lighter green/yellow on the stomach. Add a "border" and scales on the shell thing on the back.

As I said skinning is different and I like your icons better.
