Hi, I imported a model made in Gmax. I've textured the model and everything. When I import it into my map (and after restarting the world editor), the model appears all brown. (I'd be willing to guess that the shade of brown it's displaying is the average color of the texture.)

What does that mean? Does that mean the texture is messed up? Are the UV coordinates messed up?

yes, but does it have the correct path name in the import manager?

Edit: I think I know your problem, you have to change the .mdx into a .mdl and open it up with notepad then change the texture path to whatever you want it to be. such as "Textures/bob.blp" then in the import manager you would change the filepath to "Textures/bob.blp"

Does it have to be Textures/something.blp or can it just be something.blp?

EDIT: OMG!! I'm soooo sorry! This is right up there with the stupidest stuff I've ever done! I forgot to even assign a texture to it in the first place! (I forgot it because I had assigned a texture, then turns out it was a bad export, so I re-exported it, then forgot the texture that time!).

Thanks for all your help man!
