Metal and Magic
The World was once a peaceful place, filled with scientific wonders,some were even blessed to be able to manupulate there surronding make air tighten to such a strenght it would form a shield or even a spear.
Now the world is dying, overrun by creatures named after the mythical demons known as vampires these creatures have been effected with a virus.It is said that the virus was supposidly capable of repairing human biostructure at an extremly fast rate
allowing a mortal too live beyound his normal lifespan maybe even granted immortality but it had a side effect, those who were infected quickly began too mutate some generated new limbs others began too loose
some of there motor function and others brain overloaded resaulting in a state of living dead however the infected require constant supply of new nutrition. the constant hunger drove these beings into insanity
and canabilism.
Infected Humans and animal alike began too turn on those who were not effected, they haunted them down
and fed upon them, some survived thousand dies and hundreds became infected after having been in close contact.
Some of the infected altough mutated manage to keep sane and were capture by the organisation believed to be the creators of the virus.
The few human survivors banded togather and build fortresses after fortresses, all they had was eachother and there faith.
40 years later after the outbreak a band of newly formed organisation known as the paladins formed from
within those fortresses and began there mission to cleanse there lands. They were succesful and drove off
or killed any Vampires within there claimed lands.
A few years later the paladins were contacted by a mysterious group calling themselfs the Shades who requested and audiance.
The shades worked for the Phantoms who hid themself in an underwater facility called the Red Spider.
They were the creators of the virus and are still working to perfect it. The first one to inject himself with the virus became insane and escaped the facility there on the outside he began to spread the virus.
The Red Spider did nothing to recapture the man, instead they watched with interest and began to release more of the infected from there base to speed things up. Afterwards the captured all those who showed no
or little signs of the side effects.
The shades also told the paladins that within the base also lies a cure, not a cure that could reverse the change but one who would instantly kill those who were infected. Immediatly the paladins saw a chance to cleanse the entire world and began to mobilise.
The final warning from the shade however fell on deaf ears.
Beware said the shades there technology is vast and there are more horrors in there than out here.
