Map crashes while opening (not protected)

So I've effectively locked myself out of my own map. I was recoloring some bolt impact models and testing them in the editor. It saved just fine. Now when I open it, the editor closes instantaneously around halfway through loading doodads/units. How can I even address whatever the problem is? (I wasn't even doing anything special)

Please help if you can, my last backup would mean a disastrous amount of lost data. If you need more info I can try to be more helpful.
 
The models are probably busted in some way that crashes the graphics engine. Open your map with a mpq editor and delete their imports.

Your map is assuredly salvageable; even deliberate efforts to keep people from opening a map in the world editor can't stop a dedicated person from doing so.
 
OK, I deleted all of the files that I remember editing, and I'm relatively positive I got them all. Still no luck opening, closes with no message at all! Any other ideas? Not thinking of anything great right now...

Edit: I'm aware things like not having a texture assigned to a Material/Particle Emitter will crash the map but I didn't place any units of the kind I was editing anyway.
