I think it was called "Devil's child" or somesuch. At least I remember that the protagonist's family name had something to do with devil.
Distinctive features include the ability to actually make choices. After the end of a cutscene you were prompted to input "a" "b" or "c" choices of action. The game had a good and evil path to follow, and another thing of notice: the game had a wrestling arena with enemy monsters named after WWF wrestlers
Another unique feature was that the initial interlude as a child, ends with you having to choose between 2 or 3 masters, which essentially meant choosing your skills and main attribute.
