I would like to change the Life Drain skill's skin, but I cannot seem to locate the original. Perhaps it's a shared skin. I've used the viewer and can't find it. If you know where it is let me know I would appreciate it.

i dont beleive they can be skined but i could be wrong... if you are looking to change it you can change the animations, that would be in the object manager, you can change the way the beam looks to another pre-existing animation or DL one from this site. I havent ever looked at the drain life but the drainlife(target) and drainlife(caster) animations may acuattly be buffs put on a target, so you may have to change here animations as well.... which agian is in the object manager.... good luck

Even some might consider this thread necromancy, I want to point some things up.

Lightnings are special stuff in warcraft 3. They have a premade model by blizzard, whose material is additive. So practically the skin itself cannot contain anything black (I once tried to make a black lightning but I couldn't...).

And now you may all wonder where you find the skin, and if the model doesn't really exist (since its practically a ribbon expanded by some Blizzard skins), how do you set the skin to the model.

Someone made an awsome tutorial on wc3campaigns. You should really check it out, since it is very good and explains things accurately. http://www.wc3campaigns.com/showthread.php?t=62725 Good luck!
