How do you even select a hero? The Wisp is not even visible because of the camera. I had to use DELETE to roll it. Moving the wisp in those circles doesn't result in anything happening.
I'm not sure if this might be a patch version bug.
EDIT:
Alright, selecting the circles is the way to do it but it's counterintuitive because of the wisp. Strange, that the message about the hero selection isn't stored in the Log.
Meh, it's just a preview cinematic scene.
