Faction 1 - Scourge Their ultimate goal is to wipe out all life on Azeroth, and possibly beyond if they succeed. The mortals in the service of the scourge strive for the undeath. Leaders: the Lich King, Kel'thuzad ​

Faction 2 - Azeroth Alliance Protecting their homes and their lands, most of Azeroth's humanoid races have united under a single banner. However, the teamwork not being the very best due many years of hatred between many races, but their goals remain the very same.​ Leaders: The main faction leaders from respective races. (WoW)

Faction 3 - Illidari Empire The lord of Outland has brought his forces to Azeroth, with hatred towards both the lich king for his previous defeat and towards the Azeroth Alliance whom betrayed him in the past. Leaders: Illidan, Kael'thas, lady vashj ​
