Increasing Range with triggers

I think that if the Acquisition Range value is smaller than the Range value, the actual range of the unit will be determinaded by the Acquisition range, and you can it on specific units with triggers, so that might work

Aqustition Range is the range where the unit can aquire a target, to put it simply, it is the range of our unit's sight where he could see the enemy and considers it as an enemy. (not the sight radius).

Aqustition IMO can be greater than range, or vice versa and they are both practical.

You could try 02's suggestion, set the range on big numbers and screw with aqustition range.

well, i have thought of something, but it might not work and might be quite complicated and might be quite stupid

maybe have a trigger that forces the Attacking Unit to Stop if he is Attacking an Enemy outside of his range. All heroes would have the Max Range at first(except for Melee Heroes) and those that are supposed to have shorter range are stopped when attacking beyond their range.
