Icon Contest #22 Ideas?

Hey guys ! A brand new year and a brand new Icon Contest..

Im making this thread too join everyone to brainstorm some ideas for the next upcoming Icon Contest since my brains already dead i need help. :peasant-cheers:


Feel free to suggest ideas below and then we will create a poll to see what will win for the contest.


Contest does not have an exact date yet so stay tuned..





Suggested Themes:

3 icons for each hero attribute
Pandaren/monk/asia-lore
gory style or horror type icons
Consumable items: create 3 icons that should have "Charged" classification, for example, Potion of Something, Scroll of Something, Book of the Dead
Critical damage/hit/bash/smash: create 3 icons that will symbolize various critical effects from attacks, for example, Shield Stun, Unhealed Cut/Bleed, Cripple, Armor Break
Protection-themed spells: create 3 icons that are meant to be used as protection type spells, for example, a barrier shield absorbing damage, temporary health and regeneration boost, temporary armor enhancement
Elemental force: create 3 icons that will symbolize spells using three different elements from the Warcraft universe, for example, fire, water, poison

Would love to see another icon contest. Panda's brains, they have to process moderation over tonns of icons and other info here, we def should help. I'll try to come up with some ideas around the theme.
 
A list of suggestions.

1. Ice-themed icons: 3 abilities or 3 items, for example, Ice Beam, Ice Spear, Frost Bomb

2. Buffs: create 3 icons that are meant to be used as buff type spells - buff units individually or by area

3. Debuffs: create 3 icons that are meant to be used as debuff type spells - debuff units individually or by area

4. Elemental force: create 3 icons that will symbolize spells using three different elements from the Warcraft universe, for example, fire, water, poison

5. Consumable items: create 3 icons that should have "Charged" classification, for example, Potion of Something, Scroll of Something, Book of the Dead

6. Catastrophic spell icons: create 3 icons representing elemental spells of the elemental destruction level, for example, Earthquake, Hurricane Strike, Comet Fall

7. Critical damage/hit/bash/smash: create 3 icons that will symbolize various critical effects from attacks, for example, Shield Stun, Unhealed Cut/Bleed, Cripple, Armor Break

8. Siege-themed icons: create 3 icons which illustrate the means of siege, the processes of siege or its result, for example, Automatic Ram, Siege Golem, Anti-Wall Bomb, Undergound Passage

9. Protection-themed spells: create 3 icons that are meant to be used as protection type spells, for example, a barrier shield absorbing damage, temporary health and regeneration boost, temporary armor enhancement

10. Summoner: you are a powerful summoner who has 3 best spells - the first to summon a creature, the second to buff that creature, the third spell that can do anything to this creature except summoning or buffing it (blowing up the creature to deal damage to surrounding units; absorb the creature's health to replenish your own health or mana; empower the creature by feeding it your own health or mana, ect.)

Oh dang, i apperieate the time and thought put into these..

I will go through them and put the ones i think could be used for the contest in the first post and eventually ill make a poll for everyone to vote on there favorite..
 
I find attributes idea boring and redundant, if we are talking about the same thing, because they are in-build interface icons that most people won't need to replace ever. Only if people need something besides agility, intelligence and strength.
I got the list going good, but yes.. i want a theme that can benefit everyone and have a vararity of ideas from that one theme itself..

Like the elemental ability idea.. Everyone would have different types of icons because the theme would create different ideas in that field. For the attributes idea i agree that theres no room for differences and i feel as if everyones icons would be really similar towards eachother and i do-not want that.
