I feel this skin is lacking...

I made this for the fun of it but it feels lacking, any ideas i can throw on it? also if you see any where were it needs improvement please point it out.

He has no depth or real shading. This is the issue with people who follow archians tutorial, they dont know how to add depth and just shade each chain instead of the leg making it a whole.

That chainmail just does not look good
It is a low quality texture in my eyes, that WAAY too many people use on their skins

Use the cross-stich mail then.

You should put some platemail over that chainmail, and then shade it. The pants look just like a recolor without any real shading, make them leathery by dumping them into a full brown color and then experiment with dodge and burn set to highlights.

STOP USING ARCHIANS CHAINMAIL TUTORIAL, darnit people, that tutorial is way over used and the chainmail it shows you how to make looks like crap, read werewulfs armor making tutorial if you want to see how to make good chainmail.
