I'm currently making a map inspired by the game "Battle for middle earth 2" (with units acting as squads, farms giving regular income, Cavalry knocking infantry back, so on and so forth). One of the last core mechanics i want to implement is the ability for squads to replenish their numbers. Either whenever they are under a healing effect (like in Battle for Middle Earth), or similar to Ancestors Legacy and Company of Heroes (where you can replenish them for a fee when they are near a friendly building. I'm still split on the issue for the moment). These "new" units are to act like the squadmates they are replacing.
My problem ? I can't wrap my head around what i need i to do to even begin this.
