How to salvage my map?

You can easily delete imported content in maps using an MPQ extractor.

MPQ master v1.2.0 is, in my opinion, the best available (it can also extract resources from war3patch.mpq).

Just open the map using MPQMaster.exe and examine the list file of its imported resources. Delete those that you suspect might be faulty (ALL of them if you have backups or can easily re-download them).

If corrupt resources were the cause of your map's failure, deleting them should take care of the problem. If some other cause might be to blame (third party map protection, for example) you may have to consider other means to resolve the issue.
