How to make the model have colour?

I downloaded the file and when I open it with war3modeleditor the model is all black, how to give it colour?

I'm very new to this, I know I sound like a total noob, because I am

That is because you don't have the War 3 Model Editor in your Warcraft III root folder. This model use a In-game texture, so you don't have to be a problem view it.
