How to make Left Click = launch effect(missile) from in direction of click?

I would like to know if it is possible to launch an effect (missile attack in this case) from a selected unit when the player left clicks Using a trigger. I want the missile to target ground not just units so making it an attack wont help. I have the effect already made just need a way to trigger it using left mouse button. I'm almost positive it is doable I just can't find anything to help me out. Or if there is a way to do this in the data editor that would work too. Any help is greatly appreciated.

When the player presses the left mouse button you make a unit create the effect targeting the clicked point.

Okay... that makes sense but i'm really new to the trigger part of the editor and I'm confused as to which Action i should set it up with. I have the variables for tracking the clicked point already and the event if P1 clicks left mouse.

just as a note. there is warning on that event stating that this event causes network traffic which might slow down your map on multiplayer.

Hey Anyone Know how to Track the kill credit of the created effect?

depends if there is a killer

any unit dies

if killer == no unit

yourworkaround here
if you do it as the Dr said you have a casting unit, otherwise you have to track the last player using this ability

else kills[owner of killer] = kills[..] +1

It will credit the player or unit that the effect is created from.
