How to insert additional options in the object editor?

I have a problem with a hero spell, it doesn't show the tooltip options or research button position button. How do I add it or is there a mod to add it?

Base the upgrade on a default one and just add/modify the hero ability through triggers.

Find the option in Object Editor, Stats - Hero then set it to True! It will surely show the Ico Research because a hero abilities does requires an Icon Reasearch =)

A hero spell? If you based it off a hero spell (for example, Storm Bolt) then you should not have any problems. If you based the custom ability off of a unit's ability (for example, Aerial Shackles, ) then you have to do what Hell_Master said.

You need to remember this for future references.

It's already set to True actually, that's why I'm a bit confused.

Restart your World Editor and see the data fields again if the Research part is there. There should be a research. Just tested it and works fine.

Restarted & it's still the same, if I use other skills to convert then the tooltip & research buttons options will be there but when I use this skill, it's just not there. By the way, the skill I'm using is the "spell book" skill.

Yeah it seems like the only way I suppose, I was actually trying to make a talent tree system for the hero skills... Thanks for all your replies <3

About that Hero problem, example, when you set it to true and it doesn't show the learn tooltip, no need to restart WE. Just click another ability and click the previous, that would take care of it.

In my map i used the spellbook ability and made it a hero ability, nothing like this happened "like any other spell"

Actually you can get those research icons without triggering. Set the "Stats - Item Ability" to False. You then have to set the "Stats - Levels" to whatever level you want. Even if it is only 1 level you have to open it and set it to 1 again for some reason. Then the "Art - Icon Research" fields will appear.
