If I understand your question correctly:
You need to add acamera focusing the face of your model. Then you add an animation called: "Potrait". Most potraits use a geoset for a background, which you can copy from a different model.
You can do this all with the Model Editor.
I would do this via Matrix Eater, Mdlvis, and a little bit War3 Model Editor. In fact i did the very same with this Model of mine, based on my Theory on how it's done.

I used Matrix Eater to transmit the Portrait Talk, but it didn't work. The mouth won't move.And I want to know what Mdlvis and War3 Model Editor are for.
