One needs to fiddle around with GetLocalPlayer to change shown only for the player selecting it.
This is no easy task the high unit/destructible usage can easyly produce a multiplayer desycn.

Such destructible/unit based Mapscreen UIs take quite alot of performance, FPS wise and path calculating wise.
It is recommented to get rid of it as soon the selection phase is over.
