HIJACK ABILITY HELP!!!!!!!

yea so i wanna make a hijack ability that works only enemy mechnical, ground units, so i tried it based off of the control magic spell, it worked but the problem is it has that little bar on the unit i casted it on, it says "control magic" and when it reaches the end, the unit disappers

i want a ability that when u cast it on the unit, it takes control of the unit, and it permently urs, and i want the spellcaster to dissaper...how would i do this? i would think triggers and whatnot....but how....

1. Create a modified version of the Charm spell.

2. Create the following trigger.

Events:
- A unit starts the effects of an ability.
Conditions:
- Ability being cast equal to <your ability>.
Actions:
- Remove triggering unit from the game.

It should be easy, I'm just not sure if I remember the gui function names completely correct.

ur triggering is wrong but i added a wait .5 secs before the remove unit and it works perfect now :D

thanks, i think ill add u to the credits... :wink:

oh yeah - I completely forgot that it takes some time for the unit to be charmed. Try with the a unit finish casting a spell event, or keep the wait :).
